They reflect a long list of objectives, and try to reconcile the divergent views of too many executives. By attempting to cover too many things, they achieve nothing.† The goal of the Ted Cruz for President campaign is to generate â€Å"a campaign for content† -- a strategic combination of tactics and messaging to maintain our narrative of â€Å"Reigniting the Promise of America† and â€Å"Uniting ‘Courageous Conservatives.’† The only way Ted Cruz becomes the Republican nominee and the President of the United States is by creating a following. This momentum and following will come if he successfully puts his candidacy into the context of a larger generational need, national interest or other impending moral needs. President Reagan was known for defining the mood and generational obligation the American people were feeling during his time as a candidate and as the President of the United States. This understanding of how the people were feeling allowed for President Reagan to make an emotional connection with voters and spark a sense of optimism within everyone, helping him win the election and be one of the most ta lk about President’s still today. Versions of â€Å"Normal† What is normal? Can anyone really describe what the word â€Å"normal† even means? The Merriam-Webster dictionary describes â€Å"normal† as an adjective that is usual or ordinary; something that is not strange. However, in life we all have our own definition and version of what normal is. Some people find going to school and studying everyday normal but others find working for a living normal. Some people use vulgar language and some go to church and don’t. We all create our own personal versions of what normal means to us. In the 1980s, the Kentucky school board in Graves County thought the book, As I Lay Dying was the furthest thing from what they considered to be â€Å"normal†. Antigone Antigone was written in 441 BC by the Greek playwright Sophocles. The play is set in the ancient city of Thebes. Women were not recognized of importance in ancient Athens, so in turn they were not allowed to attend the plays and any character that was a woman was to be played as a man, wearing a mask. Sophocles wrote many other great Greek tragedies including Odeipus the King. In the prequel to Antigone, Odeipus the King, Odeipus is born as a curse. His parents went to the oracle and received terrible news about their son, Odeipus. Odeipus would soon kill his father and lay with his mother. To prevent this, his parents dropped Odeipus off in the woods as a child but he still managed to survive. Years later he is walking on the outskirts of Thebes and he runs into his father, they have a thrown down and Oedipus kills his father, completing the first half of the prophecy the oracle foretold. Shortly after Thebes recognizes Oedipus as a worthy leader and is elected king. And with tradit ion he must marry the queen of Thebes, his mother, completing the second half of the prophecy. Odeipus later then finds out the truth that he in fact killed his father, the king of Thebes, and is married to his mother and has committed fornication.
